Important information:

Following recent advice from the Government surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are deeply saddened to announce that Wookey Hole Caves & Attractions will temporarily close from Monday 23rd until further notice. We will continue to closely monitor the situation over the next few weeks and respond, with speed, to any changes.

As a family business, the health and wellbeing of our guests and staff remain a priority and we appreciate all the support from guests, employees and suppliers that are also feeling the impact of this Worldwide situation.

We are yet to decide on the Wookey Hole Hotel, Mendip View Lodges and Bucklegrove Holiday Park but will provide an update as and when a decision is made. These are difficult times for everyone.  We thank all of our customers for their support and look forward to welcoming people back to Wookey Hole later in 2020.

What Happens Now?

Due to call volumes expected, there might be a delay in taking incoming calls at this time – we will be proactively calling all guests that have made bookings with us. These will be done in order of priority depending when your visit was due. Starting from any bookings that have been made in March.

Day Tickets:

 If you have booked park tickets for a visit, over the next few days one of our team will be in touch with you to discuss moving your visit to an alternative date when we know when we will reopen.

Wild Wookey:

 If you have booked a caving experience with us, over the next few days one of our team will be in touch with you to discuss moving your visit to an alternative date when we know when we will reopen.

Annual Pass Holders:

Passes will still be valid for when the park is back open and we will extend them for a further 4 months beyond the current expiry date.

Hotel & Attraction Packages:

 If you have a booked at the Wookey Hole Hotel and your booking included tickets to Wookey Hole, please be assured one of the team will be in contact with you over the next few days to amend your booking to an alternative date in the future.

Third-Party Tickets:

 If you have purchased through a third-party provider, please contact them directly to discuss your options.

School / Group bookings:

Our group booking department will be in contact with you to reschedule your current booking.

Coronavirus, COVID-19 – What you need to know

At Wookey Hole, the health and safety of our Guests, Owners and Team is our number one priority.

We understand that you may be feeling unsettled given the rapidly changing situation around Coronavirus.

We want to reassure you that we are closely monitoring the developing situation and following Government guidance to ensure you can enjoy the holiday you deserve.

We’re open for business as usual and will provide an update should any changes occur to any of our breaks.

Confidence in our care

If you’re due to be enjoying your holiday with us shortly we would like to assure you of the action that we are taking to ensure the risk to our guests, owners and team remains low.

We have increased and up weighted our cleaning procedures across our holiday homes, lodges, hotel and in all of our public areas and will continue to do so throughout your break.

Our teams have full training in health and safety procedures and have received further guidance in relation to keeping our guests, owners and team as safe and secure as possible during the Coronavirus situation.

We are also ensuring that each and every visitor to our park understands how we can all work together to reduce the risk of contracting Coronavirus.

As well as hygiene posters across all of our public areas we will also be providing leaflets about hand washing and other useful information.

To help protect our guests, owners and team further we have also introduced some changes to some of food and beverage areas of our park.

On self-serve areas which are used by large numbers of guests we will have these serviced by our team members to reduce the level of people in food serving. We will also be pre-bagging pic and mix sweet stations.
